Dear Dag-

Sorry for my prolonged absence from the blogging scene. I took a fall recently and screwed up my arm and hand. I never knew how hard it was to type left handed and one fingered. Hah.

I've been so out of it I haven't been even surfing the web so I did not read your comment until just now and coincidence or not, I am glad that I was able to help you in some small measure. The loss of a friend is a heavy load to bear, believe me I know. And even though it was just a moment of serendipity I am glad I was able to be there for you.

Know that you are in my thoughts today and that you have a new friend in me.

Cheers and best wishes.
Dinah
P.S. IMO you're never too old to be hitting on the hot babes.
Hah-hah.

Cool sticker, now all I have to do is get my printer out of storage, ;)

There are ways of copying and multiplying the image numerous times on this page so one has as many as eight stickers that can go through at once, and they can fit on prepackaged office supply store sticker pages. Or one can easily run off many pages and simply paste them as is using a thin sludge of water, flour, and sugar.

When we made these stickers over a year and a half ago there was a great deal of concern that no one outside our small community of scholars would know what the word dhimmitude means. Yesterday there was an italisized version in one of Canada's few national newspapers, the National Post. No definition. People who read the paper are expected to know the meaning or to look it up.

This particular neologism has strength, and it grows stronger daily as people come to know not only the meaning but the significance of the idea.

Along with a notice on the door here at the Fortress proclaiming that we are the Danish Embassy now taking applications for cartoons we also have No Dhimmitude stickers pasted on it.

Some people ask about the sticker. Many stare stupidly at the sign and ask if this really is the Danish embassy. Oh well.
