Not with a bang but a whimper

The piece below comes from Israpundit:

Bill Narvey

Geert Wilders could be Europe's savior.

Self defence embodies two stages within which there are two options. Stage one is where a credible threat is made. Stage two is where a credible threat is carried out.

Stage 1 is where a threat is made and made all the more credible by exemplary, but not all out violence. The options to the threatened are to credibly threaten the threatener to get them to back down and thus avert violence or to capitulate in the hope that capitulation will satisfy the threatener and thus remove the threat to peace and social order.

The EU has been thus far been involved in Stage 1 where Europeans have been credibly threatened by the Islamofacists and their large network of Muslim supporters that live in Europe. The EU long ago chose capitulation as its means of self defence as epitomized by the attitude of Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende.

Sporadic outbreaks of violence, be it the Islamofacist attacks in Spain and Britain, the violence in Paris or attacks and murders of individuals by Islamofacists, such as that of Theo Van Gogh have not personally touched enough of EU society and EU leaders.

Thus the EU continues to pursue appeasing capitulation as the primary method to deal with Islamofacist demands that the EU adapt to Muslims needs and wishes, which demands always carry with them, express or veiled threats of violence.

The EU is faced with a conundrum at this Stage 1 self defence level in terms of how it has chosen to respond and continues to respond to the credible Islamofacist threat it faces.

To all reasonable thinking people, they have witnessed that their self defence approach of capitulation has not worked. Instead of quelling the threat, the Islamofacists have only become more emboldened to demand more and the EU, pursuing its policies of appeasement and capitulation to the threat has seen the EU giving in more and more to the Islamofacist demands.

The EU leadership and EU society generally cannot help but know that policies of appeasement and capitulation to Islamofacists are not helping, but only worsening their situation.

The EU however puts such a value on peace and social order, that it is willing to continue to debase itself by transforming its society from what it was to what Islamofacists want it to be in order that the peace and social order of their nations is not substantially disturbed by intermittent and sporadic acts of Islamofacist violence.

This European aversion to war and violence is so great, that it has expanded its capacity for tolerating and accommodating the intolerance of Islamofacists and their creed beyond what a great many would consider reasonable and sane, all for the sake of holding on to peace and social order, without too much, if any regard for the quality of their peace and social order and their own self respect.

Stage 2 self defence is as noted, reacting to a threat of violence that is being carried out which touches a majority of society by causing many harm, if not death.

Geert Wilders, with his speeches and his movie which he promises will be shown by the end of March, 2008 is forcing the Islamofacist's hand and forcing the EU to move to Stage 2 of its self defence.

If the Wilders movie does make its way into public domain and the Islamofacist threats of widespread violence materialize throughout Europe or even just in the Netherlands then the EU will be faced with having to choose between fighting back or capitulating more.

The one thing about a person or nation being actually attacked. It brings into sharp focus that their options are very limited and they must choose very quickly. The choice is of course to fight back without restraint to destroy one's attacker or choose to act like a whipped dog that lies on its back exposing its throat to the aggressor hoping for mercy.

The chances are that the Islamofacists will be intoxicated enough with the power they feel they have achieved in Europe that they will carry out their threats of violence if the Wilders movie is shown. Their thinking probably would also be that if they did not carry out their threat of violence, they might be perceived as a paper tiger.

The ultimate choice to fight back to defeat Islamofacism and reverse the Islamification of Europe or to submit and pave the way for the complete Islamification of Europe to assure peace and social order, even if it is at all costs, is quickly being forced upon both the Islamofacists and the EU by Geert Wilders.

The next several days and weeks and months to follow will be telling as to what option the EU chooses in its stage 2 self defence crisis that has been mounting with each passing day.

In spite of the groveling from Balkenende and Ban Ki Moon and others spread thick and wide across the dhimmi spectrum, not much in the way of outrage from Islam in general. And if not over Wilders' film, then why should they ever again rise their voices in protest against anything non-Muslims do? If they can tolerate Wilders' film now, they can tolerate anything else that comes along. There's no reason for any of us ever again to worry about insulting Islam. If Wilders film is acceptable, anything goes from now on. Muslims are paper tigers.

Wilders spits on ummah's shoes; Muslims walk away

As you might know by now, LiveLeak has pulled the plug on Fitna due to death threats.

The excellent blog from the Netherlands, Wilders News, has ceased taking comments due to death threats as below:

The usual near-perfect English is a bit missing above, which makes me think they think the threats are serious. My sympathies.

Good insight here from One Cent at Brussels Journal.

The burqa clad self-censoring dhimmis in the mainstream media were obviously overwhelmed with "Fitna" given that it violated their sacred dogmas of political correctness and upholding the multi-culti myth at all costs. So, here we are at this point in western history where free speech is systematically muzzled by the media elite. Amazing isn't it, the basic totalitarian tenets of the old USSR reassembled right in the heart of western democracies. Islam couldn't ask for better collaborators.

Ask yourself who is more dangerous to western societies Islam or the quislings that live among us?

No surprise

And then there's the notorious "moderate Muslim" we all hear about but never actually see, though Ali Eteraz is often claimed to be one of them. Another smart insight from a commentator, Rob, at Brussels Journal on Wilders' film Fitna:

[A]ll I could find was a comment at the Guardian by someone named Ali Eteraz who said the film made him 'yawn.' Now, you can agree or disagree with the film's message, but what kind of monster does one have to be to see those images and yawn? I hope to God I never become so blase and disconnected from my fellow man that such images provoke nothing in me other than boredom.

Very sad

Eteraz .... Regardless of who claims to be a jihadi and who doesn't, the fact remains that Wilders has, by releasing his film on the world, spit on the collective shoes of the ummah: Each and every Muslim on Earth now has the dubious privilege of either accepting or not that those of us who give not a damn at all for Islam can spit on their shoes too. It's up to Muslims to decide what to do about Wilders' spittle gobbing their feet. If they put up with Fitna, then they can put up with any other thing, however insulting it might be to their so-called faith, and they will have to shut their mouths and accept it like the rest of us do when we face insults to our values, which we do without much murmur. Muslims either accept the insult of Fitna or they don't. It's their call now.

No more idle jihadi threats from the parents' basement over the Internet. Let them come out and let's see what they are made of in the flesh. Wilders spit on the shoes of every believing Muslim on Earth. So what? What will the ummah do about it?

Some people are as keen on a fight as the most ardent jihadis. All it will take to start is a small sack of cash and a few weeks till one ends up in Tehran to discuss the setting up of the home team. But after even all this time not a single genius has figured out the offer. Time's a wastin', lads.

How to get many hits at your blog

Yes, you might live forever-after wishing you'd never learned how to type, but there is that one brief flash of fame to console.

Darth Spencer from JihadWatch:

This is a joke, right?

No, not the photo above, that's for real.

A few hours later:

The joke was great while it lasted. A semi-literate Leftist had a blog in which he suggested for a number of incredibly stupid reasons that Robert Spencer is a secret jihadi. I posted the piece above when the number of howling reactions rose to 25, all of them laughing at the fool who hosted the blog. It's now, as you might see, out of order. There's only so much ridicule one can take from intelligent folks, I guess.

I'm going to leave this up because I really love the photo.

Fitna Frenzy: Muslims Huff, Puff, Stare at shoes, Shuffle off

As Geert Wildes inflamatory film Fitna hit the Aether today like an atom bomb, Muslims mobs across the globe screamed, howled, tore at their forelocks, and then mozied on over to smoke pot at the nearest Dutch cafe. No one in a position of Muslim authority told Muslims to be homicidally violent, so they didn't know what else to do but do nothing much. So it stands, wannabe Muslim rioters smoking cigarettes, and drinking fruit juice, gazing into space, wondering what else to do with the long and cold Dutch day. Maybe get a job? Naw, it's Friday.

The following comes from Esther at Islam in Europe:

Netherlands: Dutch fear of riots drops, fear of Islam increases

TV show EenVandaag ran a survey of opinions about Wilders' film and Islam.

44% agree with Wilders that "Islam is out to destroy Western civilization." 88% of Wilders' supporters think so.

At the beginning of March 52% of the Dutch feared riots in the Netherlands and 62% expected attacks on Dutch embassies and companies abroad. Now just 20% expect riots at home and 30% expect riots abroad.

90% thought the film exceeded their expectations. 82% says that 'a lot of fuss was made about nothing'. 70% think the film is not insulting to Muslims.

About three quarters of those surveyed who had seen Fitna said their image of Islam did not change. 23% think of it more negatively. Three quarters of Wilders' followed had seen the movie in its entirety and the rest want to see it. 93% of supporters thought the film was good to very good.

The study was conducted among 10,000 member of the EenVandaag opinion panel.

Well, nevermind that the Muslim furor over the release of Fitna is a fizz, the Dutch are still seemingly unhappy about the state of things as they are and will be:

NIS News Bulletin
Dutch: Mass Immigration Our Biggest Mistake Ever

AMSTERDAM, 27/03/08 - The majority of the Dutch are negative on Islam and immigration. Additionally, their knowledge of Dutch history is meagre, according to a survey by three history professors.

According to 56 percent of the Dutch, Islam is a threat to the Dutch identity. As well, 57 percent named admitting large groups of immigrants as "the biggest mistake in Dutch history".

I knew a woman-- briefly-- who made it her life's reason to apologize for the behaviour of everyone around her to strangers. When I first met her she apologized for the state of her house, which looked fine; and she apologized for the state of the neighbours' lawn, which being seen in the night was some kind of stretch; then she apologized for her mother's behaviour at dinner; but when she apologized for my behaviour to a stranger on the sidewalk I said goodbye and didn't apologize at all.

That girl, (I'm not making up that anecdote,) is too much like liberals today and in our past years: They thrive on apologizing for everything so to make others look like fools and bullies and slobs and to make themselves look like the helpless victims of brutes and philistines whose behaviour they can't control. They no doubt feel smug and superiour doing so. Metaphysically speaking, I say: "Fuck 'em."

Wilders: Balkenende Must be Terribly Embarrassed

THE HAGUE, 29/03/08 - Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders considers that Premier Jan Peter Balkenende "must be terribly embarrassed" about everything he has said in the past about his anti-Koran film Fitna.

Balkenende repeatedly stressed in recent weeks that the film could lead to attacks and deaths. When the media asked him if he was not exaggerating, the premier even replied last week that the word 'crisis' could turn out to be a euphemism.

The reactions from the Muslim world so far appear to be moderate. "Muslims are acting much more responsibly than the premier," according to Wilders. "He should offer his apologies in front of the camera with a red face of shame. Actually, he should resign, but this will not happen," he added.

TV programme EenVandaag held a poll Friday among its permanent opinion panel of 10,000. A large majority (82 percent) consider that there has been "a great fuss about nothing." Only 20 percent now expect riots over the film, compared with 52 percent recently.

We live with the affected reign of the Brenda Lee-generation anthem ringing in our ears. Yes, we even have back-up from our politician signing drunkenly under the dim lights of after-hours parliamentary meeting rooms, "It's my political party and I'll cry if I want to." Many of us are ready to puke, but certainly not our intelligentsia; they simply sob and weep, drowning out all complaint. Well, it's come out in the open now. Geert Wilders has shown his 15 minute movie to the world, and all the crying and apologizing prior has shown itself to be so much maudlin sentimentality on public display for no other reason that to make the majority of Westerners look like fools in the eyes of the rest of the world. It didn't work. None of us are embarrassed, none of us are ashamed of our behaviour. Nope, it's the cringing fools who make a livelihood and a mission of weeping and pointing and covering their eyes in dramatic flourishes who come out now as third-rate dinner-theatre acts in Hoboken who look like fools for this antic noise they've displayed for these months on end. Time to dump then and find some companionable people to represent us as our political and moral leaders rather than to retain this lot of weeping fools.

Enough of that old cowboy lament: "Poor me, poor me, pour me another drink."

Balkenende Says: Let me say this about that.

Dutch PM: Islam does not equal violence

The Hague - In a brief response to the release of Geert Wilders' anti-Qur'an film Fitna, the Dutch Prime Minister, Jan Peter Balkenende, has said that he's pleased with the even-handed reactions from the Muslim world.

However, he soundly rejected the film's equation of Islam with violence and said that the film had no other goal than to hurt feelings. "The problem," he continued, "is not religion, but the misuse of religion."

He said that he didn't want to talk about feelings of relief after seeing the film because, he believed, it conjured an image of Islam that could offend those who see the Qur'an as a holy book.

Mr Balkenende also said that he did not think the Dutch cabinet had overestimated the threat posed by the film. Rather, he feels that it was a good thing the cabinet took the threat as seriously as it did.

Fitna Unleashed.

GO, WILDERS, GO!

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=7d9_1206624103

[W]ilders' hate-filled tirades and disrespectful statements have reverberated throughout the Netherlands for more than four years. His rhetoric is directed against the political establishment, leftist intellectuals and Eurocrats. But Wilders' chief criticism is reserved for Muslims at home and abroad. Even his opponents admire him for his determination.

They grudgingly admit that this man, with his wig-like, bleached-blonde hair, is currently setting the tone as the most rhetorically adept figure in the Dutch parliamentary business. Dutch journalists voted him politician of the year in 2007, and foreign reporters jostle for interviews with this supposedly unwavering man.

The 45-year-old Wilders' pushy behavior is exasperating to Dutch security officials and politicians alike. In the parliament, where he holds a seat with other members of his opposition group, the Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV or Party for Freedom), he comes across as self-confident and defiant, dogmatic and unaffected. For months, various cabinet ministers, intelligence officials and police officers have urged him to abstain from his plan to release his film "Fitna" (Arabic for "strife") (more...), in which he hopes to settle scores (more...) with what he calls the "fascist Koran."

But the more he comes under public pressure, the calmer the man seems to become, as he lounges in his purple chair in the Dutch parliament, twisting his stout, angular face into a mischievous grimace. He behaves with the infallibility of a missionary convinced that he has been chosen to disseminate his dark visions. "Fitna is the last warning to the West. We can choose to pass freedom on to our children or allow our freedom to sink into a multicultural swamp," he says forebodingly.

Wilders is depriving himself of a personal life with his obsessive hatred of Islam. His bodyguards move him to a different location every night. He sees his wife once every week or two. In his windowless office in the Dutch parliament building in The Hague, the Binnenhof, he smiles derisively as he shows films depicting his image, underscored with the rattle of machine guns and the snarling voice of a hate-mongering imam calling for his death.

He derives obvious enjoyment from forcing his political foes into a dilemma. On the one hand, the elite in the Netherlands despise him for his demagogic manner, with which he indiscriminately associates all Muslims with terrorism. But banning his film? That would violate the unassailable value of freedom of expression. This conflict has led the Green Party's leader in the Dutch parliament to grudgingly support the notion that the government should pay the cost of security for the public performance of his film.

He is only too pleased to watch intellectuals -- the people he routinely castigates as do-gooders and cultural relativists -- squirm. Nevertheless, his poll ratings are climbing. If the country were to hold elections next Sunday, his PVV, which currently holds nine seats in the Second Chamber, or lower house of parliament, would likely double its standing. His tirades against Moroccan adolescents jostling through pedestrian zones strike a chord with ordinary Dutch voters.

But political scientists also pay tribute to him occasionally, as they did a year ago when he pertly asked two newly sworn-in state ministers which state they actually served. Was it the Dutch state, he wanted to know, or the Turkish or Moroccan state, of which they were also citizens?

[....]

In February 2006, he posted the controversial Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed on his website (more...). This prompted visits and warnings from the Dutch domestic intelligence agency. Wilders responded in his own way, announcing his plan to shoot his own film about the Koran. It was a coolly calculated provocation, a propagandist trap for both government politicians and radical Muslims. It prompted Prime Minister Jan-Peter Balkenende to mobilize the police, intelligence agencies and even his colleagues within the European Union. Meanwhile, Islamists in Afghanistan and Pakistan were only too willing to set Dutch flags on fire, turning Wilders' prophecies into reality....

Der Spiegel: http://wildersnews.blogspot.com/2008/03/missionary-with-dark-visions.html

According to the NRC the English version of the film was viewed by 200,000 visitors within an hour.

Islamic experts say the film can hardly be described as as insulting the Muslim faith, the paper says.

Geert Wilders publishes Fitna The Movie on LiveLeak.com

"The film is accurate. Will Muslims rage against the truth?"

Robert Spencer: http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/020472.php

Liveleak seems down (after one and a half million viewers). Posted by: FransG [TypeKey Profile Page] at March 27, 2008 4:27 PM

Geert Wilder's anti-Koran film Fitna is within the boundaries of the law, Brahim Bourzik, spokesman for the national council of Moroccans, LBM, told news agency ANP on Thursday shortly after it was released on the internet.
All Dutch mosques will be open to the public on Friday, says ANP.

[....]

http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2008/03/wilders_film_within_the_law_sa.php

With nerves of steel, Michael van der Galien of PoliGazette writes:

Geert Wilders has put his movie "Fitna" online. You can watch it here at this blog, but before you can watch it I want to make something very clear. That we publish this movie at this site does not, in any way whatsoever, mean that we endorse Wilders' views. In fact, many of us - including myself - disagree very strongly with him. However, since Wilders and "Fitna" have been in the news for months, and since his film is part of a bigger debate about Islam and the integration of Muslims in Western European countries, we consider it justified to publish the film nonetheless.

Our intention is not to insult anyone.

http://poligazette.com/2008/03/27/fitna-online/

LiveLeak.com has a strict stance on remaining unbiased and allowing freedom of speech as so far as the law and our rules allow. There was no legal reason to refuse Geert Wilders the right to post his film (Fitna) on LiveLeak.com and it is not our place to censor people based on an emotive response. We in no way endorse Geert Wilders, his views, nor the views expressed within Fitna. To many of us involved in LiveLeak.com some of the messages therein are personally offensive. That being said, our being offended is no reason to deny Mr Wilders the right to have his film seen. Pre-emptive censorship or a discriminatory policy towards freedom of speech are both things we oppose here on LiveLeak.com. A person has a simple, clear choice about whether to view this film. No one is being forced to view it and nor is it being broadcasted on every channel on their television set. If you click on media simply to be annoyed, it is pointless to blame others for your choice.

We do not intend on defending the content of Fitna, only our choice to allow it. Anyone has the full right of reply on LiveLeak.com. Any person or organizations are free to post their opinion and, dependent on said response falling within both the law and our rules, we will afford such responses equal exposure. There are undoubtedly better ways to spark a discussion but this film is now out there and we believe we should all grasp this opportunity to create an open dialogue and discussion on this subject.

Wilders asks for cash; Spencer offers gold

Wilders: Qur'an film will be out before April 1

"I guess it really does it exist. And yes, I would still be glad to post it here at Jihad Watch."

Robert Spencer, Director Jihad Watch.org.

Geert Wilders has an offer from Robert Spencer, above, that is honest and true.

Wilders is begging for money. Spencer's word is weightier than gold. You decide.

Dutch Prime Minister Releases New Netherlands Constitution

Your Dutch uncle is still full of good advice.

Guide on "How to Commit Suicide" being Published

The Foundation for Research for Careful Suicide (WOZZ) will be selling a book on various ways a person can end his life. One of the authors, psychiatrist Boudewijn Chabot, said that from sociological research he did for his doctorate, he learned that in the Netherlands about 4,400 people end their lives annually after discussions with family and friends.
www.nrc.nl/binnenland/article984398.ece/Gids_met_adviezen_voor_z

One difference between Americans and Dutch is that Americans tell their family members to go fuck-off, and they make new friends when either or both groups hate them so much they feel they should kill themselves. Not so, apparently, with the Dutch. After dinner with the family, the Dutch are so mortified by the lack of good feeling from Mom and Dad that they go off in the woods and shoot themselves. Well, hey, wouldn't it be easier to quit smoking pot, maybe think of getting a job outside the sex-with-animals movie business? You know, live like a normal and sort of decent person for a while and see what it's like?

But of course, I know nothing. Leave it to the Dutch to keep us up-to-date on cool things of essence:

Politeness an Asset When Requesting Euthanasia

Doctors at three Dutch hospitals have published ten guidelines for people with a death wish asking for euthanasia. They advise them to be polite toward their doctors, to avoid giving the impression that they still enjoy anything in life and not to act depressed. The doctors write that "the patient who follows these rules increases the chances that his request for euthanasia will be accepted."

www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/3255729/
_Beleefd_zijn_helpt_bij_euthanasie__.html?cid=rss

I feel like such a hick. All this time I thought being happy and living as though I didn't want to quit was a good thing-- even when it's a terrible thing to have to suffer through yet another family dinner. Hmm, to be or not to be? That is the question for the European Union to decide for us all.

In light of all this I now understand why the Europeans are so often found chanting "Death to America. Death to Israel." It's because they like us so much, and they want us to be as suicidal and death-obsessed as they. Gee, what are family and friends for if not a quiet dinner and a "please pass the arsenic."?

And congrat.s on the new constitution.

This time I guess I mean it:

Yalla, bye.

Geert Wilders and The New Class

Those who fight against the release of Geert Wilders' short film, Fitna, have some legitimate cause for doing so: they are either Muslim fanatics in support of their fascist poligion, which is understandable and in some sense admirable, or they are the Left dhimmi fascists who use Muslims as proxies in a war against Modernity, a despicable collusion with primitivist fascism. Even they are vaguely understandable. What is sickening beyond redemption is the state of our States. Our political leaders are creepy and cowardly, and if we continue electing them to represent us....

"Some in Europe have accused the Dutch politician of being a provocateur, of deliberately provoking the Muslim umma to violence. But this characterization distorts what is in fact a serious purpose. What Wilders wants to reveal, above all, is that the violence is already an innate part of the umma. Besides Muslim intolerance, the Dutchman is also standing up to the moral feebleness of some of his own countrymen, whom he has called "cowards." Every television network in Holland has refused to run his film, leaving only the Internet, where Fitna will probably be posted on YouTube.

Moreover, in response to Prime Minister Balkenende's fainthearted warning that, in case of a terrorist attack, he would be held partially responsible, Wilders defiantly replied: "The Cabinet may go down on its knees before Islam and capitulate, but I will never do that. The film will be released." The Freedom party leader has also called Balkenende "a timid man who has chosen the side of the Taliban."

In an unprecedented speech to the Dutch parliament this month, Wilders again pointed to the danger a creeping Islamification poses to Holland and Europe, warning it was "a few minutes to midnight." He also chided the ruling party for betraying the Dutch culture and people, calling one minister "stark raving mad" in the speech for having said that sharia law could be introduced into Holland.

Wilders has paid a heavy price for his position. He has had his own freedom restricted. Death threats from Muslim extremists have caused him to be put under 24-hour police protection for the past two years. Wilders thus joins the growing list of people in Europe requiring protection from Islamic radicals. At one time, it was only Salman Rushdie who was forced to live in hiding; now, as one observer pointed out, such people are so numerous they nearly constitute a new social class....

We, as a collective body of Modernist citizens, are the new class of trembling dhimmis. Geert Wilders is now our most visible defender in our hope of remaining free citizens. We are all under 24 hour guard from our police and military, as is Wilders, though our protection is less immediate than his-- for now. Our position won't improve if we concede yet more privilege to Islam. If we continue to roll over for each and every Muslim complaint, it will get further worse for us. And then even worse. And eventually we will just die. It ain't for me. Call me a fascist, a Right wing religious bigot, what-have-you; I'm willing to fight for our Modernity and our collective democracy. And you?

Gilders against fascism, a fascist, say fascists.

There is no legitimate distinction to be made between the so-called Left and the so-called Right, no matter the howls of protest we might hear from either faction of the totalitarian collectivists. But we do pretend and we do see that many make this false distinction as if it is meaningful. Geert Wilders, for example, a democrat of some sort, is continuously maligned as a "far Right" politician. What the Hell does it mean? Not a thing, but it sounds good in the hysteria of the Left's campaign to destroy his position in public. Stand against the fascist Islamic poligion and find yourself slotted with Nazis, as below. Shameful? There is no end to the shame of many of the intelligentsia we are saddled with.

Vittorio Hernandez - AHN News Writer

Berlin, Germany (AHN) - The Central Council of Jews in Germany filed a suit at a Hamburg court against Google and YouTube over anti-Semitic videos. The videos in dispute include a photo of former Central Council of Jews head Paul Spiegel ablaze with a swastika in the background.

The video was on YouTube's site for months. The council said the video incites racial hatred and discrimination.

YouTube is not a stranger to controversies. Right-wing extremist messages and videos have been discovered in 2006, while the Nazi propaganda film "Jud Suss" was downloaded on the site in 2007 despite the presence of new filtering software.

Stephen Kramer, general secretary of the council, told Spiegel online, "The radical right-wing scene is using YouTube massively, as a platform. In defense, Google Germany's spokesman Kay Oberbeck said YouTube has self-policing features that allows site members to complain about an offending video with the click of a mouse, and that material could no longer be reposted on the site in the future.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands Islamic Federation asked a court in The Hague to come up with a board of censors to review a film about the Islam religion with the aim of banning it for attacking their faith. Right-wing extremist Geert Wilders plans to exhibit the movie despite growing complaints from different groups....
http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7010424360

Muslim fascists and Left dhimmi fascists have preempted Wilders' showing so far of his short film Fitna. The shameful lies keep on coming. A democrat in our midst is slandered as a neo-Nazi, and not a blink from our intelligentsia. Good Lord.

So, it will soon be time for us to demonstrate our disgust of the intelligentsia and our support of Wilders and our Modernity and its basic democratic foundation. I'm prepared to endure the crap of Left fascists calling me a fascist. I'll stand in front of a government sponsored Dutch site and protest till I burst. Metaphorically, I hope. And I hope to see you there when the time comes. No lawsuits, it's time to take to the streets in defence of democracy.

Supporting Wilders.

Geert Wilders is facing death for publicly stating that in his opinion, Islam is a fascism, that the Qur'an promotes violence, and that the Qur'an, like Mein Kampf, should be banned from the Netherlands. OK, the Pope quotes a Byzantine emperor discussing Reason and God's plan for Humanity: it sets off riots and murder among Muslim nations, Muslims go berserk and kill people. A Danish newspaper prints innocuous cartoons of Mohammed, and, yes, the same result. I sneeze in the bathroom, no riots as yet but I'm holding my breath.

Geert Wilders is a Dutch parliamentarian. In the greater scheme of things he's only marginally more visible to the public than I or than you. But he is under 24 hour per day guard by the Dutch secret police to keep Muslims from murdering him. Wilders is only one of a growing number of private and public figures in the same position, under threat of murder by Muslims, under guard by police. The fact is, we in the West are all in something like the same position: the police and militaries of our various nations conducting round the clock exercises to ensure that we too aren't murdered by Muslim fanatics and or their sympathisers as were Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh. It's only going to get worse. Lots of our own are pretending this is not happening, that what's happening isn't important, that this effort to kill at random is not the fault of jihadis but is due to the existence of Israel, due to American imperialism, is due to the Moon being in Virgo. Uh huh. We are all to some extent in the same position Geert Wilders is in. We face death at the hands and by the designs of jihadis.

Wilders is trying to show a short film, a 15 minute film, to give a sense of why Muslims are doing this outrageous thing to the world. He is being stymied at every turn. It is to our collective benefit that he succeed here, and we are being cheated by nearly everyone in a position to make his effort successful. It's up to us to ensure his success. We have to support our own freedom by supporting Wilders' efforts to show his film, especially because so many Muslims don't like it. They aren't special and they have to know it concretely. Muslims are no more privileged than anyone else. If they don't like criticism of their religion, such as it is, then too bad for them. We must do what we can to make them get over it, even if it means rubbing the noses of Muslims everywhere in the images of hostile films.

Too! Bad! Get over it.

CNN during the cartoon intifada ran a banner each day for weeks reading "Out of respect for Islam CNN is not showing the Danish cartoons." Today CNN runs some older news about another censorship effort from America:

CNN) -- A Web site promoting a Dutch lawmaker's film critical of Islam has been suspended by its host company after the firm received unspecified complaints about its content, the company disclosed Sunday.

"This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site's content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy," the company said in a posting on the Web site set up to promote the film. "Network Solutions has received a number of complaints regarding this site that are under investigation."

[....]

The company did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.

Network Solutions' terms of service ban material "that is obscene, defamatory, libelous, unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, constitutes an illegal threat, violates export control laws, hate propaganda, fraudulent material or fraudulent activity, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature."

Last month, Pakistan's government blocked the popular video-sharing Web site YouTube because of a "highly blasphemous" and "anti-Quranic" video featuring Wilders, according to a government news release. The video was reportedly a trailer for his movie....

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/03/24/dutch.koran/

That blurb was about Geert Wilders and his film Fitna. Network Solutions is an American company Wilders used to show the trailer for his up-coming film on the Internet. They shut him down due to "complaints." Maybe they don't think of themselves as similar to the Pakistani government. I see them as similar. I also await CNN's efforts to show Wilders' film on video through their network. In that case I am not holding my breath.

If we don't care about democracy and our Modernity, then there are many others around us who are happy to take it from uw, to destroy it and enslave us, literally and more or less permanently. End of your life as you've always lived it. Some work hard toward that end, some of our own, some of our good-intentions Left, our church goers, our politicians, our business people. Wilders stands up to all this. I'm going to stand with him, here in my isolated little place in Canada. I'm going to demonstrate in support of Wilders and his film. It's not a big splash, not like CNN doing the news, but I'll be in the open and I'll show my support for the good, which is something you'll likely never see from CNN and the others of that ilk. I hope you'll attend here and join me when the time and place are known. It's democracy, and I intend to exercise my right to it.

Waking the Monster

"El sueno de la razon produce monstruos." Francisco Goya.

The sleep of Reason brings forth monsters.

I know that word too well from personal experience many years ago, the words el monstro, applied, unfortunately, to my loving self. Of course it was all a misunderstanding. In other cases it is all too apt. And to you it might be. You might be tomorrow the monster you fear today-- if you think of it at all, twisting in your deepest fevered slumbers. Yes, dear reader, it could well be you. Allow me to explain.

Geert Wilder has produced a fifteen minute film on the fascist nature of the Koran. Since he announced the making of this film he has been under increased pressure to stop his campaign to show the world his vision of Islam as a fascism, pressured not only by the Muslims who have made serious death threats against him, a member of the Netherlands' parliament, as was Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and as was the murdered Pim Fortuyn, a politician, a public figure who made public statements regarding Islam, like the murdered Theo van Gogh, Wilders, living for the past four years or more now under 24 hour per day police protection in the Netherlands, Wilders, not merely threatened by Muslim fanatics, has even been pressured by his own fellow Dutch parliamentarians to cease and desist in his campaign to bring to the public's attention the fascist nature of Islam. There is seemingly no end to the threats Wilders receives in this life, and he will likely die without a day's relief from either Muslims or the dhimmis who wish him to die or to disappear. Regardless, and perhaps because he now has nothing to lose but his life, he continues to pursue his mission. Muslims threaten to murder him; Dutch politicians threaten to censor him and have him-- put in prison? We can't tell as of yet. But prison? What's different about that for a man who lives in prison cells and army barracks, each evening a different one, never the same two nights running? Wilders is a hunted man, a public figure in the Netherlands, a hostage in his own nation, a nation he serves as a parliamentarian, not yet exiled as is Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Not yet murdered as were Fortuyn and van Gogh. Yes, there are others less famous and equally at risk in the Netherlands and other nations across Europe. Many more. And more to come. Europe itself is held hostage to Islamic terror. The politicians and the people for the most part quake in terror and beg the Muslims to spare them. There is a word for such behaviour. It doesn't apply to Wilders. Instead there are numerous words attached to him: Reactionary, Far Rightist, Racist, Hate-monger, and so on till every idiot cliche is plopped down in the growing heap of dead words at his feet. Wilders carries on. He tries to show his film to the world, so far with no success. His fellow Dutch parliamentarians have had him in government offices where he has been "intimidated" unsuccessfully, and he has been vilified by them in public. He is under threat of roughly 100 law suits as of today. Demonstrators protest in some of the worst weather for this day in living memory, simply because Wilders will not shut up, go away, or die.

Wilders has a right due a parliamentarian to show himself and his message on national Dutch television as a political statement. Every party leader is alloted a short period in which to address the public. But Wilders is not allowed to show his film as part of the public presentation to the public. Not him. Others yes, but not Wilders. In his own nation no television station will broadcast his film. Not without prior rights of censorship. Wilders refuses to be censored. The secret police have tried as well and they have not succeeded. Wilders attempted to use the media centre at the Hague to show his film. He was told it would cost him roughly half a million dollars for the day, on top of which those business owners proximate threatened to sue him for loss of business due to the troubles they would have with security-- due to fears of Muslim violence. And so Wilders went in search of an Internet company to show his film for him across the aether. Wilders went to America for help, to Network Solutions, which is now looking like a bad move on his part. Wilder promotional site is taken down due to " complaints."

There are two short pieces here that should make us afraid for our futures. Wilders has already rejected many attempts to have him show his film to censors and bullies. A Muslim site is now "offering to show" his film. As censors. There is no end to the rubbish of the jihadis and the dhimmis of our lands. But in the next piece we'll see something that is very frightening indeed, if one knows what to see in it. First:

Wilders rejects Muslim tv offer to show film

23-03-2008

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders on Sunday rejected an offer from the Dutch Muslim broadcaster NMO to show his controversial short film Fitna, reports ANP news service.

'No way, NMO' Wilders is reported as saying. The NMO had asked for the right to see the film in advance of screening to check it does not break the law.

That offer is a lie from the start. It is meant only as a ploy to humiliate us all. This offer is the one wie must be afraid of, not just now but for our time for years. This is the beginning of our end if we do nothing but sleep. This is the evil that will come of our slumbers and of our secret monstrousities:

Czech nationalist party to release Wilders anti-Islamic film on website

Prague- The Czech extra-parliamentary nationalist National Party (NS) has offered its foreign server for the release of the controversial anti-Islamic film of Dutch ultra-right MP Geert Wilders, the NS announced on its website today.

The party thereby reacted to the U.S. Internet company's cancelling Wilders's website as he intended to release the film on its server.

Wilders, head of the Dutch ultra-right Freedom Party (PVV), wanted to release its 15-minute film called Fitna, an Arabic word used to describe discord, on the Internet late March after the Dutch TV channels refused to broadcast it.

The NS says the film must be broadcast all over Europe as "a response to the Islamist terrorists destroying European countries by extortion and attacks."

This is why the party has offered help with the film's release to the Dutch politician "in reaction to the media's blatant concessions to Islamists."

The Dutch authorities expressed fears that the film might stir up violent protests in Muslim countries similar to those that followed after the publication of the Prophet Muhammad cartoons in Danish papers two years ago.

However, the NS says it is convinced that the Dutch and EU politicians are simply cowardly, they spread panic and are not able to support Wilders "in his fight against Islamists."

The ANP Dutch agency reported that Wilders would like to distribute his film by any means.

In the film he allegedly describes the Koran as a fascist book that provokes intolerance, murders and violence.

The para-military National Guard, established by the NS last October, has also offered Wilders protection and asylum at an unspecified place in the Czech Republic, in reaction to the allegedly prepared assassination of him during the demonstration [by] Stop Islamism in Amsterdam at the end of last year, in which the NS representatives took part.

The NS was highlighted in the media in January, 2006, when it staged a meeting on the spot of a former wartime [Nazi concentration] camp for Romanies [i.e. Gypsies] in Lety, south Bohemia. The NS then claimed that the Lety camp was a mere labour camp where Romanies died of common diseases.

However, according to historical sources, 326 people perished in the Lety camp and over 500 inmates ended up in the Nazi extermination camp at Auschwitz (Oswiecim).
The NS has been officially registered since 2002. The Interior Ministry originally refused to register it, but the party turned to the Constitutional Court that cancelled the ministry's decision.

The party stands up against the EU, foreign immigrants and Romanies.

"Extra-parliamentary opposition" is a euphemism for terrorists, while paramilitary is plain English. "This is why" dear reader, we must all waken ourselves from our slumbers and face reality before we find ourselves in the same position collectively that Wilders is in alone at this time. What would yo do if you were in Wilders' position, perhaps through no deliberate fault of your own? What, friend, will you do if you accidentally upset a Muslim? What if you find yourself under 24 hour a day guard by a state that tells you to shut up and go away, to say nothing, do nothing, pretend all is fine? What if your whole nation is like you, under threat of death and the state pretends it is your fault? If you are intelligent and prudent you will turn away from the state to those who can or at least will promise you freedom and protection. You will, if you're normal and sane, turn to an extra-parliamentary opposition, one that is beyond the state that refuse to save your life from jihadi terrorism, one that is not bullying you and threatening you and leaving you to die by murder. If those who offer to fight your enemies are also those who would kill off everyone they dislike while protecting you, what would it matter to you so long as you live? If your state fails you and leaves yo to the mercies of jihadis who will cut off your head with a kitchen knife while they scream like savages, "Allahu akbar" and shriek in delight as your head comes off, what will you care if they die? Mightn't you even wish to join those who would attack the jihadis?

Yes, dear reader, today you're a normal person living an ordinary life in a quiet democracy. Tomorrow you might find yourself faced with savage who will cut off your head while they video-tape the ceremony of blood and jihad for the world to watch. Then what kind of person would you be? Happy? Multi-culti and sharing/caring? I don't think so. I think if you were faced with anything like Wilders life you'd find yourself pretty pleased to find friends among Czech paramilitary extra-parliamentarians offering you protection. If they are less than ideal, so what? If your government won't do a damned thing to save you you'd be crazy to fuss over those who will.

Today it might seem far-fetched to think you could be terrorized by jihadis in your little town or your neighbourhood. Sure, it's always far away, even when it's right next to you, so long as it's not you, and even so long as the terror isn't fatal, so you can laugh later at your close escape. You can see it coming if yo look at all. And you can see that you will save yourself if you can when the time comes, which you know is coming soon enough. The fears of evil are easy to ignore. It's over there, it's them, it isn't you. Until it is you. And little by little you find you wake each day to the life you never thought imaginable, the life of a monster. You might not be as fortunate as I, it all being a case in my case of mistaken identity or something. Don't fall asleep and wake later to find yourself someone you would hate. Before you find yourself in Wilders' position wake up and act to preserve your decency. Few of us actually set out to be monsters. But where do you think they come from?
