Dreaming of Eurabia

I had a dream that Muslims were blowing up Glouchester Cathedral, and I was on top of Glastonbury Tor listening to a girl recite poetry as everything came to an end.
****

I DIED for beauty, but was scarce

Adjusted in the tomb,
When one who died for truth was lain
In an adjoining room.

He questioned softly why I failed?
"For beauty," I replied.
"And I for truth,—the two are one;
We brethren are," he said.

And so, as kinsmen met a night,
We talked between the rooms,
Until the moss had reached our lips,
And covered up our names.

Emily Dickinson (1830–86).

Christians believe that within every human being, despite all the sins, there is an inner core of Christ-Consciousness, which is compassionate, wise and loving.

Buddhists believe that within every human being, despite all the delusions, there is an inner core of Buddha-nature which is compassionate, wise and loving.

Mohammedans believe that within every human being, despite all the kufr, there is an inner possibility of Mohammed-potential which is ... Oh Shit!

I love Emily Dickinson. This poem speaks powerfully to the dream mentioned above.

ALD has excellent insights in that comment. Of Christian, Buddhist, and Muslim, I know which one I do NOT want to be just on the basis of those three statements.

Been reading up on Mohammed's relationship with Allah. Seems as though whenever Mo wanted to do something outside the scope of lesser religions, such as screwing his daughter in law, or torturing people to death, Allah always justified it.

So the 64000 dollar question is ... Who the fuck is Allah?

Is Allah the same God as in the Judeo-Christian tradition?

Is Allah a different interpretation of God from a different culture (which is just as valid as ours because all cultures are equally beautiful)

Is Allah a meteorite? What's that black stone they all walk around in the centre of Mecca and isn't worshipping a stone a form of idolatry?

Is Allah just Mo's alter ego? Was Mo a schizophrenic? Did Mo hear voices?

Is Allah SOMEBODY ELSE? Like you know who...

Aisha's Lst Doll raises some questions that I'm going to address in detail in the coming day or so. It's long and involved, and my sources are supremely well-informed. This kind of issue needs proper discussion, and I like to think it'll be vaulable to all concerned.
