Beheaded by Occam's Razor

When I first got news that a serious Hizballah terrorist was killed in a car bombing that blew his head off my first reaction was that it was too bad he died quickly, not even knowing his life was ending, no time for anything, no pain, no horror, just instant death. Personally, I wanted the guy to suffer a great deal for a long time before his ruined body and mind finally gave it up and died like a dog. Yes, fool that I am, I wanted justice.

This is a bit about the man.

Imad Fayez Mughniyah (December 7, 1962 - February 12, 2008), also transcribed Mughniyya, Mogniyah, Moughnie, (Arabic: عماد فايز مغنية‎), alias Hajj Radwan, was a senior member of the Hezbollah organization, a militant Shia Islamist group in Lebanon. He was alternatively described as the head of its security section, a senior intelligence official and as a founder of the organization. Described by Robin Wright as a "master terrorist",[1] Mugniyah has been associated with the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy, and U.S. Marine and French peacekeeping barracks, which killed over 350, as well as the 1992 bombings of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and the kidnapping of dozens of foreigners in Lebanon in the 1980s. The most high profile attacks for which it is claimed he is responsible took place in early 1980s, shortly after the founding of Hezbollah.

Danny Yatom, former head of Israel's foreign intelligence service, the Mossad, said, "He was one of the most dangerous terrorists ever on Earth."

It's the Joooos!

My first thought was that he should have been grabbed and tortured for a few years, his nasty self being sliced to bits by razors. And then my second thought was, no; I thought the Muslims would have the real story about this whole situation, so to them I went, and this is what I found:

Egyptian Researcher: Mughniyeh Assassination was Staged

(IsraelNN.com) Egyptian researcher Majdi Kamal, who recently published a book on senior Hizbullah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh, has announced that he believes Mughniyeh's death was staged. Mughniyeh evaded 42 security services in nations worldwide, Kamal said. According to Kamal, it is not logical that Mughniyeh would be killed by something as simple as a car bomb.

"Mughniyeh either died a natural death a while ago, or is still alive," Kamal told Al-Arabiya television. He pointed out that Mughniyeh was reported dead just one day before the three-year anniversary of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, an outspoken opponent of Syrian intervention in Lebanon. Whether Hizbullah faked the death in order to throw intelligence agencies off of Mughniyeh's trail or Mughniyeh actually died, Hizbullah chose the timing of the "assassination" in order to ruin Hariri's memorial ceremonies, Kamal said.

Fire and Emotion; Occam's Razor.

This is my third thought. This is my understanding of our pretty worthless enemies and of Occam's Razor beheading Mughniyeh the terrorist.

"The leader of Hizbollah threatened Israel with "open war" during a fiery and emotional speech broadcast at the funeral of Imad Mughniyeh, the group's top military commander who was assassinated in a car bomb attack."

There is much concern among Westerners that we are losing a war to the Muslims. We aren't. We have not yet begun to fight. That's the part the Muslims and the majority of the world's people don't get. Most think in terms of sound and fury, of fiery and emotional speeches, bombast and bravado. That's a great start. People need motivation to rouse themselves. But then, once the movement is moving, one needs to whip out Occam's Razor and get to the main points, to the essentials. That we do, and we do it well. When we apply our Razor to the Muslim world, then they'll find out too late that they made a major miscalculation. But too late. Then we'll have acted.

We win because we don't muck about with the nonsense of revenge and torture. Yes, it would have been wonderful to have grabbed a major terrorist and to have tortured him for ages and on and on. But winners don't deal in fun and foolishness. No fiery and emotional speeches. Winners have goals, and they reach them by acting rationally to the best effect with the least expended energy. The killing of Mughniyeh is a beautiful work of machinery and art as praxis. The goal and the best way to reach it with the least nonsense involved.

Terrorist. Needs killing. Is dead. Decapitated. Occam's Razor.
