It's a riot.

I single-handedly captured the riot police squad in downtown La Paz a month ago, but they cost a lot to feed so I let them go.

I can't say these are nice guys, they being the riot squad, but the two who hung around were damned good sports to pose with me while the other dozen menaced the crowd who wanted to get in on this famous shot.

Thanks UTOP La Paz.

I've had some serious rough times in the past four months, but this is the best trip I have ever had. Yes, I was in heaven grabbing the riot squad! Man, this is so much fun sometimes that it makes up for falling, falling ill, breaking a finger, missing buses with my luggage aboard, and being so sick I couldn't walk and whatever else slips my mind at the moment as I laugh more about my day in La Paz with the riot squad. Loads of fun, and educational too. I learn so much about life doing this that I probably can't ever stop till I die. What a great world.

Got totally screwed today, and now I'm stuck, not too badly, in a luxury hotel for the night in Tarija, using hyper wifi and having a great time posting some photos and old essays that I couldn't do before. I couldn't get a bus today to Villamonte, Bolivia. I have no idea where it is, and why it's so popular is beyond me. It's the last bus stop before the Paraguayan border, a few hundred miles away from that. I have to hitch;hike to the frontier and then make my way to Filadelfia, Paraguay in any way I can over dirt roads. Some life for an old guy.

Life is so good.
