Smurf Chihuahua threatens Canada with Flees

I'm not taking any chances. This guy might actually show up north of the border even if Palin doesn't "allegedly" become our president.
“The Smurfs” star George Lopez is threatening to flee the country should former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin win the presidential election.

In a recent interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan, Lopez said he would retreat to Canada if Palin takes over the Oval Office. ...

“If Sarah Palin becomes president at any point, I would say ‘allegedly,’ I will move to Canada,” Lopez [the “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2″ actor] told the British talk show host. “I will go further north. I’ve been south but I will go further north. I will leave the United States of America.”

Too scary for this guy. I'm going south asap.

David, great tribal chief of all the Canadas, has spoken. We tremble.
David, who commands all, knows all.

We live only to please The David.

I find the Smurch Chihuahua interesting as an example of a person who is entirely enslaved by convention. The man shows himself to be bound to the ideas of others to the point he has no mind of his own. This is a common state, I think.

For most of us, non-geniuses I dare say, it takes long periods of time and great effort to look into an idea and to come away with a clear and informed opinion based on a fairly full basket of variant insights from which, after reflection on what we have learned we make up our own minds. The Smurf Chihuahua is one of those who turns his head to his fellows and asks what they say so he can say the same thing. Thus, we get Smurf Chihuahuas pronouncing on issues of real import, taken seriously by major media, and absorbed again in a cycle of say and repeat slaves to fashion. Those very people who would rage against slavery, if they bothered to look into it in such places as, for example, Sudan, are themselves self-enslaved by choice, and they are proud of their slavery, knowing it not as such but as "enlightenment." I live in terror of such a life of the mind. But, I'm not a famous Smurf Chihuahua, and I don't live in Hollywood, ain't rich or famous, don't get all the perq.s that go with such a life.

As the old tv commercial has it, "Membership has its privileges."

This guy is so mindless that he's mimicing so many other Hollywood types I can't even keep track of them. It's been fashionable to claim one will be so morally outraged by X that one cannot in good conscience stay and be part of it. That's fine. Sarah Palin? We're looking at a man who is afraid of the mother on Leave it to Beaver? I think I see a moron here in the shape of a Smurf Chihuahua.

Maybe part of this problem, that actors and so on make noises about leaving America if they don't get their way, is that they are "actors" and that they recite other people's words as a way of life. Maybe it's all they're about, the recitation of scripts they might not have any understanding of, just mouthing words and emoting properly on cue. I think the Left generally is doing this, particularly as they adore Obama and hate Palin. It's mindless, it's scary in its way, and it's predictable that people who have no core character will latch onto whatever they think will make them authentic and valuable as people in the eyes of others, their audiences. If life is a scripted performance for strangers to applaud, then, really, life is not life at all. Unfortunately, when many in the audience, as it were, hear this kind of idiot babble, it is an echo-chamber and gets its own validation, an endless circle jerk of drooling people going nowhere and taking the nation with them. It seems to pay pretty well, and other advantages come from being famous. The price is too high for the likes of me. I'd rather be the douche bag one of our anonymous commenters above has decided I am than to be one of the geniuses who spouts whatever the day's cliches might be. Freedom is its own reward, even if it pays poorly.
