Public opinion and Islam

We just looked for the first time at slashdot.org, the most idiotic site on the Internet, judging by the comments regarding the riots in France these days. This is what the world is up against. Unbelievable. Roughly 850 comments to this thread, and the vast majority condemn the idea that Islam is a poligion, arguing rather the moron dhimmi lines of poverty and racism as the cause of the friction between Islam and the whole of the world.
