Hippie Ranters on a Fiery Flying Roll.

The Canadian Anglican Church is kaput. So long, ta ta.

The Church of England, the church made by and for Henry the Eighth, it's a goner. "The Church of England is the officially established Christian church in England, the "mother church" of the worldwide Anglican Communion and the oldest among the communion's nearly forty independent national churches.... The English church was under papal authority for nearly a thousand years, before separating from Rome in 1534 during the reign of King Henry VIII. A theological separation had been foreshadowed by various movements within the English church such as the Lollards, but the English Reformation gained political support when Henry VIII wanted an annulment of his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. Under pressure from Catherine's nephew Emperor Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, Pope Clement VII refused the annulment and eventually Henry, although theologically a Catholic, decided to become Supreme Head of the Church of England to ensure the annulment of his marriage." And now, hippies have further cut the ties that held together the Church of England to itself. What we see is the beginning of the separation of the Modern West in similar fashion. So long, ta ta.

The Canadian Anglican Church is divided against itself, and now it remains to see who gets the kids. The ostensible issue is the ordination of homosexuals and, to a lesser extent, of women as priests. But that's hardly it t all: the problem, to an outside observer, is that the hippies have run amok and the old folks back home re sick of the antics, sick oft he whole business, and they wish to take back what's left of their church before there's nothing left but empty buildings and ragged banners of humiliation and shame. The Church of England, Episcopalians, (the Republican Party at prayer in America,) in Canada, the Anglican Church, is overrun with hippies. Many congregants are sick of it. Some are so sick of hippies that they've turned to Africa for guidance and authority over their parishes. Some of the very people whose families are buried in Confederate cemeteries in Anglican churchyards, men and women who died in defense of African slavery, are now turning to Africans for salvation. In Canada, the split comes now, and in the rest of the world it will arrive soon. This is a harbinger of things to come in all our relations social. Civil war? Not likely. But schism in the West? I think.

Below is a story on the Anglican Church in Canada, followed by an installment from a book review of Diana West, The Death of the Grown-Up, my review entitled: "Kill Your Parents, Part Two." The review, part one here, was originally meant to post at Covenant Zone. Due to some editorial disagreements it posts here instead. Part three is missing, but there is a post previous to these on Presbyterians that again shows why they are the devils own children, " Presbyterian Madrassas." Any fair-minded reader will ask why the hell I care about Christian churches. I'll leave it to the fair-minded reader to decide. This is what happens today in the Anglican Church of Canada:

Nick Mackenzie, "Another bishop quits Canada for Southern Cone." Religious Intelligence. 23rd November 2007

ANOTHER Canadian Bishop is to come out of retirement to minister to conservatives unhappy with the liberal direction of the national Church, it has been announced.

The Rt Rev Malcolm Harding, who retired as Bishop of Brandon in 2001, will now join Bishop Don Harvey to minister under Archbishop Gregory Venables of the Southern Cone. A spokesman for the Anglican Network in Canada said that the two men would provide 'episcopal oversight to biblically faithful Canadian Anglicans distressed by the seismic shift in the theology and practice of the Anglican Church of Canada.'

Archbishop Venables said: "We are delighted to receive Bishop Malcolm Harding as our co-worker. He too is a man whose very being is centred around the gospel and whom the Lord has used for the salvation of many… It is also good to be able to say that these steps we have taken are fully supported by a significant number of other orthodox Anglican provinces. There is no need for any to walk alone or step outside the Anglican family."

However, the leadership of the Canadian Church has appealed to the Archbishop of Canterbury to denounce the actions of the Southern Cone and on November 21 the Bishop of New Westminster, Michael Ingham, vowed to take action against Bishop Harvey if he carries out an ordination service in the diocese early next month.

[....]

The Archbishop of Canterbury has indicated that he will not comment on the replies he has received until he issues his Advent Letter to the Primates in December. The 10 Provinces that rejected the US response are all members of the Global South alliance, indicating a serious split in the worldwide Anglican Communion. At their meeting in September the US bishops promised to 'exercise restraint' in electing another gay bishop, and promised not to authorize same-sex blessings. However, conservatives believe that these promises did not go far enough and are calling for The Episcopal Church to be disciplined for the consecration of the Rt Rev Gene Robinson, an openly gay man, in 2003.

The conservative primates said that apart from a change in the form of words by the Americans, 'there does not seem to be any change of direction'. Those who approved of the response appeared to be less interested in the words of the Episcopal bishops and more interested in what they perceived as the spirit of the response, the statement added.

When I began this blog in may of 2004 I had no intention of writing about Christian churches. I began shortly after, and I continue to this day, and likely will for the duration. The apostate churches are not merely Gnostic and shameful, they are a menace to the lives of the people of Modernity and the peasants who are trapped in the worlds of Islamic triumphalism in which the Gnostic Christians act as dhimmi overlord enablers, causing death and destruction everywhere. No Dhimmitude. It took little time at all once started to realize the problem is at least in large part to do with Christians and their dhimmified churches.

Schism in the Anglican Church is only part of a larger problem: the bifurcation of the world into the primitives and the Modernists. The apostate churches side with the primitives, ensuring further strife and death. I find it unconscionalbe that professional moral leaders, our religious leaders, are up-to-herein murder. Hence in commenting on Diana West's Death of the Grown-Up, my hostility:

There must be a special place in Hell for Protestant churchmen like Reverend David Giuliano, Moderator, or spiritual head of the United Church of Canada.

I hang pictures in my life, (my places of abode changing frequently) of American history-makers: Henry VIII, William Tyndale, Oliver Cromwell, and John Wesley. No, not Americans-- makers of American history. Each of them contributed greatly to the making of America, the nation of greatness and freedom that it is and will continue to be. Each of those men had a profound impact on America's being, and on the world as it is and will become in its further dimensions of Human freedom. Each was a religious reformer, a Great Man in history, and particularly a maker of Human freedom for America. David Giuliano follows in their footsteps, digging up the work they did, destroying all that one can recognize as good in the English religious reforms we benefit from today. David Giuliano is a devil.

We live in a world, thank God, dominated by America. The nation of America-as-Idea didn't pop up ex nihlo from the bushes. It developed through the ages from the minds and acts of many people who came from many places in the world, and others from America itself. Many of those formative minds and men were Protestant thinkers. Today, many Protestant thinkers are the most evil people on Earth, bent, it seems, on destroying all the good Protestants have ever done. Some of these Protestants are devils. I think they come straight from Hell. I think they should hastily return. David Giuliano is one who should go quickly. David Giuliano is a devil. He and those who believe as he does are acting to kill their parents. There must be a special place in Hell for him and his like.

Richard Foot,'Survival' of United Church not a priority; Charity is more important than members: leader." CanWest News. ServiceSaturday, October 13, 2007

The leader of the United Church of Canada says his Church is too "preoccupied" with protecting its buildings, counting its money and recruiting members, and should instead devote its energies to helping the poor, the hungry and the sick beyond its walls.

Reverend David Giuliano, the Moderator, or spiritual head, of one of Canada's largest Protestant churches, has sent a letter to United Church congregations across the country, urging them to worry less about "buildings and budgets" and become more concerned about the "suffering of the world around us."

"Our hope is not for our survival or even growth," Rev. Giuliano writes. "I am praying that our preoccupation with getting people into church is transformed by a passion for getting the church out into the world.

"I am praying that we welcome strangers with a radical hospitality that sees in them the face of Christ -- not an 'identifiable giver' or a 'potential committee member.' "

Rev. Giuliano's plea comes in the midst of a difficult period for the Church and its roughly 600,000 members. Along with other mainstream Christian denominations, the United Church of Canada is experiencing a long decline in national membership; its congregational lists fell 39% between 1961 and 2001.

In July, the Church announced program cuts and layoffs at its national headquarters in Toronto due to financial pressures ....

In an interview this week Rev. Giuliano acknowledged, "There's a lot of anxiety in the Church about our institution --about money and numbers."

He said the Church, which once boasted more than a million active adherents, was for many generations a source of cultural and social authority in Protestant Canada.

"Many of us are reluctant to give up [that authority]--even if it doesn't really exist today --but I see the change as liberating, because we don't have to hold on to that any more."

"Jesus's followers were not a huge group of people, and they were not prosperous," he said.

"The measurement of a faithful community cannot be in its numbers."

Rev. Giuliano said that as one example of the Church's preoccupation with survival, too much money is spent maintaining Church buildings that serve little purpose other than to shelter a declining group of worshippers once a week.

"I think we have too much property," he said. "We have places where we have three United Churches within three blocks of each other."

He applauded one of the country's oldest congregations, First United Church in Ottawa, which sold its old building last year and now leases meeting and programming space from a nearby Anglican Church.

Rev. Giuliano likened the Church institution to a treasured car that a proud owner might keep in their driveway.

"The Church is a vehicle intended to get us somewhere. If you keep it fixed and washed and waxed but you don't ever take it anywhere, it doesn't have much purpose," he said.

"If what we do is ask the question, 'How do we get big or even survive,' I think we've lost our way," he said. "For me, the real question is, 'What does it mean to be faithful?' "

I don't care at all if Giuliano and his cohorts manage to actually kill their own church. As the Church is now, I'd like to help in any way I can. The Unite Church, to most readers, might not seem like any big loss, being some specifically Canadian thing that matters not a bit. Not quite so.

"The United Church of Canada [link] was founded in 1925 as a merger of four Christian denominations: the Presbyterian Church in Canada (then the largest Protestant denomination) and the Methodist Church of Canada; the Congregational Union of Ontario and Quebec, a numerically less significant but historically important denomination of evangelical Protestantism; and the Association of Local Union Churches."

Folks, it's the Protestant Mainstream in Canada. In terms of what most of us will understand, it's Middle America. And the United Church is, indeed, the middle, the majority, the normal and wholesome and law-abiding and conformist ordinariness of civil people. It is an institution in the nation bent on self-destruction, and it seems to be just the finest thing in the minds of many normal and decent people in this country, the death of a major social institution being a grand thing if it follows the precepts of multi-culti drama-queen self-aggrandisement and moralistic public posturing.

For those who delight in murdering their parents, those in this case intent on metaphorically murdering Henry VIII, Tyndale, Cromwell, Wesley, those others who made Human freedom in America and a literate, thinking populace possible and probable, for those who kill their parents, the United Church elitists in Canada, are those who are the adult children Diana West writes about in The Death of the Grown-Up.

I won't write much about West's book this time, leaving the main story as is above. This story could easily have been one of the many gut-sickening examples she uses to illustrate her points that the Middle Class in the West is cowardly and disgusting, repugnant and vile and fatal to themselves and the world at large.

Above we have a clear story of a major social institution in a small and relatively unimportant Western nation, a story that is not different in kind from what one will find in Europe in similar size nations. We see the suicide by moralism and personal immaturity of one of the pillars of a nation. This is no different from the girls Charles writes of in "French teens in suicidal leap of faith." [Covenant Zone, Sunday, October 14, 2007] who gratuitously threw themselves out a window in front of those why wished to impress with their posing, even unto death. Those who kill themselves to kill their parents deserve a special place in Hell, especially when they destroy the future others might have had and wreck the present of those they befoul with their childish and disgusting antics. West sees it and writes of it in painful and articulate detail. To read West's book is to see, perhaps, with a new clarity, the childish pose of the adult world in the West today.
****

Daily we experience our separation from each other in the West, some hating the world we made, others standing in the crucible of Modernity and struggling to free ourselves of the pholobarbarism of neo-feudalism and hatred of Humanness and personal freedom. Schism? Civil War? The bifurcation of humanity? From the crucible will arise man again, freer and better able to continue into the future than before.

Then split, you ranting bastards! So long, ta ta. Take a Fiery Flying Roll.
Free people march to the future!

Here in Britainistan we're coming to the end of the lavishly petrodollar-funded ISLAM AWARENESS WEEK, with the 'Religion of Peace' message being proclaimed throughout our schools and colleges. Every British child now knows that 'Islam means Peace' and that Muslims cannot possibly have carried out the terrorist attacks for which they've been blamed, and they're bringing home the glossy booklets to prove it to their bigoted Islamophobic parents. Allah Akhbar!!!!

So as my own humble underfunded contribution to Islam Awareness Week, I've compiled a list of Islamically Aware blogs which allow unrestricted comments and are active as of 24-NOV-2007 . Let us go forth and share Islam Awareness throughout the blogosphere!!!
