To Still My Beating Mind.

"The cutting room is a cruel place, where writing that may have cost blood to commit to paper is kneaded and pummelled like so much insensate clay."

Jasper Rees, "Blood and ink on the floor," Independent, April 13, 1997

I began this blog in May, 2005, with the intention of creating a working manuscript of the history of left dhimmi fascism. I finished that first draft long ago, and now I think it's time to let this effort rest in peace at last. I have much editing and revision to do on this and two other manuscripts that have lain in the dust too long. If ever they are to come to life, then I must work to make them live.

As the new year begins this blog ends. I wish to thank all of you who contributed so much to my understanding of the problems we face and the solutions we might gainfully employ to make our nations and our lives more worthwhile than they will be should we continue languishing in self-hating dhimmitude and Left fascism as a matter of unconsidered course. I am optimistic, and I am enthused about the coming year. I'll meet you there. Meanwhile, I have friends to join for the celebrations of our lives.

Thank you all very much for your efforts and concern.

Prospero:
You do look, my son, in a moved sort,
As if you were dismay'd: be cheerful, sir.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep. Sir, I am vex'd;
Bear with my weakness; my, brain is troubled:
Be not disturb'd with my infirmity:
If you be pleased, retire into my cell
And there repose: a turn or two I'll walk,
To still my beating mind.

William Shakespeare, The Tempest

Best regards, Dag.

Dag,

I'm not sure if this is welcome or sad news: as I've said, I think you should be working to synthesize the blog into a book that can reach an ordinary, intelligent reader who wants to know how our culture got into the left dhimmi gnostic mess in which it is largely mired at present. If that means stepping back from blogging, so be it. But I hope to see you blogging more at Covenant Zone and elsewhere. So, remember New Year resolutions generally only last until about the middle of January...

Congratulations on all the work to date! It was a pleasure and a revelation being your reader and I hope this friendship grows in all sorts of new ways.

I look forward to the publication. Best wishes.

I am heartbroken. Continuing Education is not something that can wait for a book. I wish you the best always and luck in all your future endeavors.

God bless you and your work for mankind,

dag,

Stopped by to wish you a happy belated Boxing Day and offer my best wishes - imagine my surprise upon reading your post. I'm in the same boat as truepeers, don't know if this is happy or sad news. I do know how the blogosphere can detract from finishing a manuscript and hope 2007 brings you a completed ms w/ good publishing response.

Best of luck with whatever you choose to do. I have enjoyed your thoughtful and well-considered comments here at No Dhimmitude and look forward to reading your book.

Cheers - Dinah

Nuts, I sure will miss you Dag. You are such an erudite gentleman, but also very funny. I will miss your insights, your wonderful sense of humor, your wild expository writing on all sorts of topics, your open advocacy of hanging environmentalists to lightpoles!

You have been a friend, an ally and an inspiration. Thanks for being there. Good luck in all you do.

Your friend,

Stogie

Happy New Year, Dag. And, may your farewell tour be as final as the Rolling Stones last 20 farewell tours have been.

Nice job here, good work in spreading the word. One of the good things about blogger is that you can leave this here forever for the archives of truth. You are linked, thanks! Good luck!

Your color, your wisdom, your humor will be missed. God I wish I could write like you.

“Excuse me now while I return to helping little old ladies cross the street.

Oh, is that a kitten in that tree? Well, do I have a busy day.”

May you have thousands of busy days.

Good luck Friend.

Europe's assimilation of Islam, or Islam's assimilation of Europe?

Take a look at this great article.

Christian teacher horribly KILLED by her own Muslim students

In an exclusive report by Judi McLeod, we learn of Christianah Oluwatoyin Olusase, 'a Christian teacher at Government Day Secondary School in Gombe state, North Nigeria was torn apart, limb-by-limb, by a mob of Muslim students on March 21, 2007.'

In accordance to school procedure, the homeroom teacher collected papers, books and bags before the exam papers were passed around. She left them in front of the class for pupils to retrieve later.

One of the girls responded by starting to cry and was soon telling her classmates that there had been a copy of the Quran in her bag left in front of the classroom.

The girl claimed that because Christianah was a Christian, she had desecrated the Quran by touching it.

The students began to chant in unison, "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great)". These school age girls then beat, stoned and clubbed Christiania to death where she stood.

The deed done, the girls then dragged her corpse outside of the school building and burned it.

Thank you for the stoory, X. I'll put it up at a blog I contribute to along with Truepeers and Charles Hennry, http://covenantzone.blogspot.com/.

This is a depresssing story that co-incides with another that will complement it for today's post at C.Z.

Again, thank you.
