We should...Frank, thanks for the added information. We should know the mind-set of people who have in pracitice abandoned the nation only to return to bewail their misfortunes when they have an audience of idiots they can get both sympathy and money from. It's good that Canadians see the double standard in print and read the testimonials of these people. Enough reminders of reality might eventually bring the public conscience bacvk to reality so the public will deal with it as it is reather than contining to linger in the current fog of sentimentality and aggressive stupidity that is this self-willed dhimmitude. Then people might actually grow up and make this nation what it should be, a happy and productive place of adults living decently their own lives as individuals.Daghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10664271893389366772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13144649.post-1153521374867278292006-07-21T15:36:00.000-07:002006-07-21T15:36:00.000-07:00July 21: The planes have started to land at Montre...July 21: The planes have started to land at Montreal's Trudeau Int'l. The media, both Francophone and Anglophone, eagerly awaits the whiner..err..victims. The french media is well-known to be heavily biased towards anyone that is not Jewish or Israeli thus they've made damn sure to get the sound bites which skew impressions unfavorably of Israel and the Canadian Gov't.
Ohh victim #1: Roula Marash (sp?) In complete ingratitude she bleats that had she known she'd suffer such hardship and indignity she'd have stayed in Lebanon. Anyone want to start a fund drive to make her ungrateful whining wish come true?
Victim #2: Interviewed in the nice comfort of their seemingly opulent home, the Boustani family: The daughter questions aloud how is it that the US, France, Italy managed to get things done faster. Perhaps Papa Boustani, who had gone to Dubai on a business trip prior to the crisis, should spend a lil' more money to educate her daugher on geopolitics: US has a military presence in the area which came in handy; Italy/France are relatively close compared to Canada thus having better possibilities of mobilizing resources. The one complaint that keeps coming up: we had no A/C!!! Good f'ing Christ...your life has been saved and you're bitching about lack of a/c? You ungrateful spoiled brat. Now that you're safely amongst the dumbasses who'll have to foot the bill that saved your life, will you now protest loud and clear to help the *legitimate* Lebanese government rid the country of Hezollah? No I didn't think so....
Frank in MontrealAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
