I agree with you that Muslims may seem stupid and ignorant some times. But this doesn't explain the huge gap of miscommunication and misunderstanding between Muslims and others.
If you want to get more familiar with Islam "which is something I doubt", try knowing about Islam not about Muslims. Muslims behavior is very different from what Islam instruct.
There is something I recommend for you as a start:
Qur'an is divided into divisions. Each division is called "Sura". Each Sura consists of phrases. Each phrase is called "Aya". Suras and Ayas where put in a numerical order since the time of Prophet Mohammad. There is one Aya in Quran speaking about Iron. The strange fact is that the number of the Sura is equal to the atomic weight of iron. The other amazing "coincidence" is that the number of Aya is equal to the atomic number of iron. Open Quran and make sure this is not a lie.
From this example, it is clear that Quran does not state scientific fact as it is not a science textbook, but it includes scientific signs that it came from Lord "which we believe he is the same god of Jews and Christians and we call him in Arabic (Allah)".Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09320027597070599610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13144649.post-80650864802898544732008-12-22T23:58:00.000-08:002008-12-22T23:58:00.000-08:00I almost hate to write this, but some Muslims come...I almost hate to write this, but some Muslims come to this post and don't quite get it. I receive praise for my understanding. OK, I'll take what I can get. It's lonely at the top, and a kind word sometimes, well, it goes a long way. The funny thing ...These stories are cracking me up. The funny thing is that the folks who go on about the Da Vinci Code are easily as nutty as the Mulsims.

The difference between Tertullian and Kierkegaard arguing from fideism, and the Muslims arguing from "science" is so stark and frightening that one must wonder how Muslims have managed to survive this long.

Not being a religious guy myself I still have some liking for honest faith based on the separtion of faith from temporalities.

Muslims have no faith, and cannot have faith, because they "submit" rather than challenge the unknown and the perhaps unknowable and then, fideistically accept and go on from there. Submission in Christianity isn't stupid even when it's irrational.

It's calamitous to resort to proof of ones position from a borrowed and vititated ideology that one cannot understand within the context of ones own system. To not have a clue about science and then use that misunderstanding to prove the right of Islam is to be laughable. Where is their faith? They cannot have any at all from the beginning. Nor can they have fideism at its most irrational because to do so would be to think right to the end in some rational fashion and then accept faith as the only alternative left for the believer.

These stories are funny, but in a defintely Jerry Lewis kind of way.Daghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10664271893389366772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13144649.post-1147115422333482482006-05-08T12:10:00.000-07:002006-05-08T12:10:00.000-07:00I wonder why Neil Armstrong kept the truth hidden ...I wonder why Neil Armstrong kept the truth hidden from the rest of us?
I wonder how Abraham and his son Ismail made it into space?American Crusaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16289577534372163973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13144649.post-1147104226566285372006-05-08T09:03:00.000-07:002006-05-08T09:03:00.000-07:00This also explains why depictions of the Allien Pr...This also explains why depictions of the Allien Prophoid Mohammed are banned - he was green with four legs, three eyes and antennae on his head.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13144649.post-1147072077712850152006-05-08T00:07:00.000-07:002006-05-08T00:07:00.000-07:00Surely this discovery bears on the question of in ...Surely this discovery bears on the question of in which direction Muslim astronauts should pray.
